about Alyssa Turowski
Alyssa Turowski is currently the General Manager at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines. She is responsible for overseeing the guest experience and hotel operations of the 394-guestroom resort with nearly 40,000 sq ft of meeting space. The property is set amidst the prestigious Torrey Pines Golf Course, adjacent to the South Course 18th green with majestic views of the Pacific Ocean.
Prior to joining Hilton in September of 2021, Alyssa served as the General Manager of the Westin San Diego, in downtown San Diego for 8 years. A 20+ year hospitality veteran, Alyssa began her career in the industry working for Starwood Hotels and Resorts in Durango, Colorado. Over the years, she has held positions including Revenue/Reservations Manager, Director of Front Office, Director of Rooms, Director of Operations and General Manager. Alyssa became certified as a brand culture trainer in 2007 and has always taken great pride in leading her teams and new hires through similar trainings, sharing her passion to deliver outstanding and memorable guest experiences.
Alyssa holds a Hospitality and Tourism Management Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Resort Management from the University of Wisconsin – Stout. Alyssa also serves as a board member on the San Diego Tourism and Marketing District Board and newly appointed as the Secretary on the San Diego County Lodging Association Board.
Alyssa has been a resident of San Diego since 2005, moving here from Colorado (Colorado Springs and Durango), and previously from her hometown of Rochester, Minnesota.
