USS Midway Museum
Pat began her career in 1975 in hotel catering. She moved quickly through the ranks of several large hotel corporations from Catering Assistant to Director of Catering and Convention Services by her tenth year. She then turned to a different arena within the industry and worked in the party rental industry for the next eighteen years. She received the Presidents’ Award for top sales person from Classic Party Rentals several times.
She joined several industry associations in her career - NACE, MPI, PCMA, SITE and ILEA. She has maintained these memberships and active in all. She served on the board of ILEA for six years, and was San Diego Chapter President for two terms. She served on the NACE board for five years and has been an active member of MPI for twenty-one years.
In 2004 she became the Sales Director for the USS Midway Museum when the carrier opened to the public. Pat reached many milestones and achievements at the museum most notably she has been responsible for branding, marketing, and building the museum’s very successful special event business.
The museum now averages more than 400 military events and 350 private events annually including various industry associations such as the ASAE, MPI, PCMA, and the 2019 Special Event Opening Reception.
Pat’s leadership has produced various awards along with the nationally acclaimed Spotlight Award in 2005 for “Venue of the Year” from Event Solutions Magazine.
As a long-time supporter of the International Live Events she is known as a mentor and leader with a distinguished reputation in the events field. She was hand-selected to become an ILEA Legacy member in 2017.
Pat continues to expand opportunities for the USS Midway and clients as the Midway embarks on its 15 year as a museum.
