Dari is an accomplished Hospitality Human Resources Professional.  She has 30-years of well-rounded HR experience built on in-depth professional knowledge, and the ability to efficiently manage tasks small to large. She is recognized for her passion, energy, and productivity.

Her specialties include California, Hospitality, employee investigations, Labor Relations, Large scope project management, Employee morale/team building, Leadership training/development, Wage & Compensation design/execution, and working with hourly entry-level teams.

Dari has worked for RAR Hospitality with Bob Rauch, had a long career with Marriott International, also worked for Starwood Hotels and Interstate Hotels.  Last July, she founded DeSousa Professional Human Resources Group.

She received a distinguished honor and was recipient of the 2019 Gold Key – JV Cunningham Personal Service Award which she received during her tenure with RAR Hospitality.

Dari is a long-time supporter of Children’s Miracle Network and has supported Rady Children’s Hospital with various volunteer activities, fundraising and she is currently a Campaign Steering Committee Member. 

A few of her current projects include an interview for Negocios TV based in Madrid for a VISIÓN GLOBAL segment.  She was interviewed by Bisila Bokoko, Global Leadership & Diversity Expert and it will air soon.  She has partnered with 24-7 Compliance to develop and deliver a series of Human Resources live webinar trainings.  The first, Time & Project Management, will be delivered June 23, 2021.  She recently completed creating a series of 5 training scripts for Knowledge City, all focused on Human Resources Development (3 have finished production and are available online).

Dari is the current Treasurer (past Vice President and President) for the San Diego Hospitality Human Resources Association where she has been an active board member since 2007.  She is currently supporting hospitality recruiting in San Diego County by co-managing a free hospitality job posting on Instagram @sdhospitalityjobs

Dari is an instructor and the Program Advisor for the Certificate in Human Resources Program at SDSU Global Campus where she is an alumnus.
